Seiryu
as it is called in Japanese culture is also known as Qin Long in Chinese
culture which translates to mean roughly Green Dragon or Holy Dragon.
Description
Seiryu
is God of the East, presiding over the spring season. It is also thought
to be the incarnation of Wood in the Five Elements of Feng Shui. In Chinese
mythology, it is usually potrayed as a fearsome and powerful Dragon but
also considered just, benevolent and bringer of wealth and good fortune.
Symbol
Considered
to be one of the four emblems of royalty in China. The Dragon is a symbol
of authority, associated with the Emperor of China. This symbol of the
Dragon is sewn only on the robes of the Emperor. |
